Eight years ago, Munjaavu was more than just a construction project—it was the very first home built under the Taras Constructions banner. Thoughtfully designed for Dr. Hariprasad and his family, the home was envisioned as a calm, light-filled sanctuary, inspired by the meaning of its name: early morning. Today, revisiting Munjaavu is like revisiting a story that has grown richer, warmer, and more beautiful with time.
As we compare the photographs from 2017 to now, one thing becomes abundantly clear—good architecture doesn’t age; it evolves.

Munjaavu was built on the foundation of thoughtfulness and precision. The design allowed for natural light to pour in through skylights, green pockets to breathe, and volumes to open up seamlessly. This foresight has allowed the home to mature organically.
What once looked pristine and newly polished now holds a soft patina—a lived-in elegance that only time can create.
The indoor plants that began as saplings now cascade beautifully into the space.
The skylit courtyards feel even more magical as they’ve aged into quiet pockets of serenity.
The terrace garden has fully bloomed, creating a green oasis elevated above the city.
Natural materials—wood, stone, and brick—have settled beautifully, developing character without losing strength.
Munjaavu hasn’t just survived eight years.
It has thrived.

Looking at the before-and-after images side by side, you can see how timeless design sustains relevance. Some things that contributed to its longevity:
The wooden mantap, stone finishes, natural textures, and glass elements have aged beautifully rather than deteriorating. These materials were chosen not just for aesthetics, but for endurance.
Skylights, the floating glass bridge, internal courtyards, and large openings weren’t trends—they were long-term design investments. After eight years, these features continue to breathe life into the home every single day.
The open layout encouraged adaptability. Spaces transitioned effortlessly as the family’s needs evolved, proving that good design is never static—it accommodates life.
Eight years later, structural elements remain solid, finishes remain intact, and systems continue to perform efficiently. The home is a testament to premium materials, precise workmanship, and uncompromising execution.

As the first project led by Santhrupth, Munjaavu holds a special place in the journey of Taras Constructions. Coming back after eight years and seeing the home flourish is both humbling and gratifying. It reinforces a simple truth:
Well-designed homes don’t just last—they get better with time.
Munjaavu is living proof that architecture, when done with intention, ages like fine wine. The lines soften, the spaces deepen, the materials breathe, and the house becomes a home.
This project didn’t just give Taras Constructions its beginning—it set the standard for everything that followed. And eight years later, Munjaavu continues to stand tall, serene, and timeless, just like the early morning it was named after.
